Are you still alive and well? I really love this story and would love to see it to the very end! It's almost as if Ryukishi himself wrote this! I'm not judging you for the lack of updates. In fact, I don't want you to feel preassured. I'm sure you must have your personal reasons for not continuing so far. I don't want to barge in your private life either. I'm just hoping for some sort of answer. Whether you are just on a long hiatus or you have decided to give up writing, I will accept the truth and support your decision.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-68660485876147604742015-08-30T11:25:27.095+01:002015-08-30T11:25:27.095+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Kos-Moshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06112939778490695430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-51649230573333985952015-08-30T11:25:00.544+01:002015-08-30T11:25:00.544+01:00It's been two years without an update so I wan...It's been two years without an update so I wanted to ask, is this project still going to be finished, or is the author even still alive? Don't worry anyone, I don't want to add pressure, nor I'm angry. I'm just curious about the status of this work. Honestly, this story is pretty good so far, and it would be a shame if it never gets finished. As for now JanPoo, I thank you for writing this in your spare time, sharing it with us for free, and putting effort to create an original scenario, characters, setting, and plot that allows us to enjoy more of this crazy little great detective.Kos-Moshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06112939778490695430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-6153818688191929592015-08-30T11:23:35.057+01:002015-08-30T11:23:35.057+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Kos-Moshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06112939778490695430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-56661215466940075292014-12-28T02:43:37.029+00:002014-12-28T02:43:37.029+00:00Gosh it's been a long time since the last upda...Gosh it's been a long time since the last update. It really would be a shame to leave it hanging, since it's so good. To the other reviewers: I've actually read the first 8 Haruhi novels, and the similarities aren't really that noticeable. I wouldn't really define it as "based on Haruhi".Fedesserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06752966773227007883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-90642102415038085162014-02-12T07:33:43.472+00:002014-02-12T07:33:43.472+00:00The narration at the beginning was Kyon, who is th...The narration at the beginning was Kyon, who is the protagonist of the Haruhi series. He's in the right grade, and the amount of snark is completely unmistakeable. You read his narration and it's not possible to think it's a different person if you have already read the light novel. His point of view is very distinct.

The Haruhi knockoff is the girl that was killed (and wasn't *that* a surprise for people that know the series). The quiet girl is the Yuki knockoff. The girl that Kyon has a crush on in this story is the... Asuna? I believe her name is? There is one more main character but he wasn't introduced for some reason, as far as I noticed anyway.

It's not exactly the same, obviously. In the Haruhi series, Haruhi is a God, Yuki is an alien and Asuna is a time traveler. Plus, they all are together in the same club, the SOS brigade. Moreover, this story has added a lot of darker motivations to the cast. Such as Haruhi possibly selling her body and such.

It's mainly these characters that cause the association to be made. The plot, on the other hand, is entirely different except for some basic associations, such as Haruhi liking Kyon and being jealous of Asuna who takes all his attention and that Kyon also gets along with Yuki. This story is much darker, as well.

-Toma
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-40018205307963304962014-02-10T03:30:44.477+00:002014-02-10T03:30:44.477+00:00Everyone seems to say that this was based from Har...Everyone seems to say that this was based from Haruhi Suzumiya. I never watch/read the series, so I'd like to know which part of the series was it based? Is it the characters or the overall plot?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-78915923839067995472014-01-27T23:36:58.733+00:002014-01-27T23:36:58.733+00:00Huh... I love Erica and Dlanor makes a great straight man. Honestly, those two were my favorite characters from the series. I found it while I was going though the TV Tropes page for recommended fanfics of the series this is based on.

I was interested that you took the Haruhi Suzumiya series to help create the background mystery and then added a bunch more characters. To round things out. It's enjoyable how you don't just focus on the big case either, there are lots of minor mysteries that are uncovered along the way. The entire thing seems so... complex. I'd imagine you'd of had to of storyboarded a LOT before even starting this thing. I am impressed with the work you have done in the creation of this.

I feel bad that this doesn't seem to get much recognition. It deserves a larger audience. Been quite awhile since the last update but I know you have an ending in mind. I hope to be able to read it someday.

-Toma

-TomaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-46524010284314639522013-10-06T11:18:47.622+01:002013-10-06T11:18:47.622+01:00I second Anon's wish!I second Anon's wish!Fedesserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06752966773227007883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6487370731519354458.post-46349304357377454832013-10-03T19:53:52.346+01:002013-10-03T19:53:52.346+01:00Yes, please! It certainly fits beatifully with the Erika we all know and love since her introduction. These flashbacks are so interesting!
